Home Security Advice | The Security Sensei's insight:

While the provided home security tips by the San Diego Police dept are very helpful - I`ll always find a couple of critical points omitted by my peers.

1. Have a family security plan rehearsed and ready to roll should a intruder enter your home. Ie: a secured closet that acts as a make-shift safe-room etc

2. Add LED motion detection lighting to the perimeter of your home to startle off potential intruders

3. Replace your existing door hinge screws with a min of 2 inch screws. Longer screws penetrate the wooden stud, hence making the door more secure.
